Online 3D Printing Quotation and Order Walkthrough

These are the steps you will be guided through as you generate your online 3D printing quotation

Step #1 Log in and upload 3D CAD file you want to get a quote on.

  1. Register a new account or log into your existing account and proceed to the CAD file upload screen.
  2. You can either drag your 3D CAD files onto the upload box or click on the ‘Upload 3D Model’ button to select your files.
  3. Be sure to select the correct model measurement units.
  4. We currently support .stl, .obj, .wrl, .step (.stp), .iges (.igs), .3mf and .zip (with models in the supported formats + textures) up to a maximum of 100Mb.
  5. When you have uploaded your model(s), click on the ‘Next Step’ button to advance to the model settings screen.

  1. Select the 3D printing material and options for each 3D CAD model you uploaded.
  2. Be sure to check for any warnings (listed below the model preview) in your model, e.g. the wall thicknesses in your model may be too thin to be 3D printed. If there are any issues, be sure to correct these and then re-upload the corrected model.
  3. The measurement units of your model will be displayed below the model. Check that these are correct.
  4. Confirm your shipping priority using the drop-down options menu.
  5. Select any 3d printing post-production options you require. If you have more detailed instructions, there is an ‘Instructions’ field on screen 5.
  6. Under the ‘Price’ section, check your quantity and any other options you have selected.
  7. You can remove or add 3D CAD models using the options under the ‘Price’ summary.
  8. Once you are happy with all the settings, the full quotation to 3D print your model(s) is reflected at the bottom on the page (you may need to scroll down to see the summary).
  9. If you require a Purchase Order or Invoice for your administration department, these are available on the final screen.
  10. Click the “Proceed to Cart’ button to advance to the cart summary screen.

  1. This is your shopping cart screen. All your 3D CAD models will be listed, along with the quantity and price.
  2. You can change the quantity required for each CAD model on this screen. Batch size discounts will be applied when the quantity qualifies for this discount.
  3. A summary of all costs is displayed at the bottom of the cart. You may need to scroll to the bottom of the screen to see the summary.
  4. Click the ‘Next Step’ button to advance to the Shipping and Billing Details screen.

  1. This is your Delivery screen. Please enter your contact details and delivery information.
  2. If this is a company order, be sure to tick the ”This is a company order’ checkbox. This will reveal additional billing and VAT fields for you to complete.
  3. Click the ‘Next Step’ button at the bottom of the page to advance to the Summary screen.

  1. This is the Summary screen. Please check that all the information you have entered is correct.
  2. If you have any specific instructions you want our team to be aware of, please enter them in the ‘Notes’ field.
  3. If you have a company Purchase Order number, please enter it into the ‘Use PO number’ field.
  4. Clicking on the ‘Review Quotation’ button will open an Adobe Acrobat PDF Quotation in a new tab. You can download this file for your administration department.
  5. To complete your order, click the ‘Confirm Order’ button. This will take you to the final order summary page.

  1. This is the Final Order Summary screen.
  2. You can generate a Purchase Order or Invoice on this screen. You can click the relevant button to generate an Adobe PDF for your administration department.
  3. Your order will be placed in our print queue, ready to be started once the payment terms have been satisfied.
